The first website appears to be an official source, but the creator of the PUP must have placed the installer on the Chrome Web Store as well, and so this source could too be regarded as an official one. They all redirect searches to search.yahoo.com, and this is not good news. Isn’t Yahoo Search a reliable and well-respected search engine? Perhaps it is, but not when PUPs are redirecting to it. As it turns out, the search tool introduced by PDFConverterSearchTool modifies these results, and that means that you cannot trust the service. We cannot know for sure, but that is a possibility.

In conclusion, we strongly recommend that you delete PDFConverterSearchTool from your browser because this extension cannot offer you anything useful. Even though it presents Yahoo Search results, they could be modified, and it is possible that quite unreliable links could be injected. Obviously, this is not a good way to “optimize” search results. Of course, that should not deter you from using Yahoo Search if that is the search tool of your choice. Simply make sure that no program or extension is redirecting you to this engine and modifying the shown results.
