A new piece of software, TVStreamNow Toolbar, has been released by Mindspark Interactive Network, Inc. This time, a new browser plugin works on only two web browsers: Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. If you use any of them to surf the Internet, you will sooner or later notice the changes applied to the web browser you use. TVStreamNow Toolbar is a piece of software that comes with a slogan “find where to stream anything, anywhere.” It also promises to enable users to access the extensive TV & Movies catalog. It sounds like an extremely useful piece of software, which explains why some users install it on their computers consciously. We suspect a bunch of them decide to delete TVStreamNow Toolbar soon after installing it on their computers because what they do not know about it before the installation is that it applies changes to users’ web browsers. As a consequence, users start seeing a page promoted by this browser plugin every time they open their web browsers. In other words, it is loaded automatically. Needless to say, the default URL set by the user is no longer opened when the browser is launched.

TVStreamNow Toolbar promises to enable users to search and discover TV shows and movies straight from the Start page of the web browsers they use, but research has shown that it only sets a new page, which is opened on browser startup, as a browser’s New Tab URL. A bunch of users find this browser plugin quite disappointing, which, we believe, is yet another reason people find TVStreamNow Toolbar undesirable and thus remove it from their systems. We cannot confirm that it is extremely useful too, but we would not call it completely useless either. The page set by TVStreamNow Toolbar contains a search box powered by https://search.mysearch.com/ to enable users to perform web searches right after opening their web browsers. The page promoted by TVStreamNow Toolbar also contains some buttons that open popular websites. These include Facebook, YouTube, Amazon, Twitter, and many others. Also, on the left side of the page, you will find three buttons listed in a vertical order. The first one opens a list of popular TV Shows, the second one opens Movies, and the third one opens saved favorites. These are all the features TVStreamNow Toolbar has, so it is not a surprise that so many users decide to remove it from their systems and install a more useful program instead. This browser plugin is not malicious software for sure, so if you arrive at a decision to eliminate it too, you could do that without difficulty.

If you have not found TVStreamNow Toolbar very useful, or you have installed it on your computer by mistake, you should not keep it active because you will not only see the page it promotes load every time you launch your affected web browser, but you will also be tracked by this piece of software. In other words, this browser plugin also actively collects information about users. Luckily, its main focus is non-personally identifiable information that consists of users’ search queries, links and advertisements they click, and some other technical details, including the IP address and the version of the Windows OS the computer runs on. All these details might be disclosed to advertisers and business partners, as it is stated in the Privacy Policy document. There is one more reason researchers have decided to classify TVStreamNow Toolbar as a potentially unwanted program. Research has clearly shown that it can also be distributed bundled, which is not how 100% legitimate programs are spread. Also, its developer might use intrusive pop-ups to promote it. In other words, its official sources (http://www.gettvstreamnow.com/ and https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tv-stream-now/podgeadojmfnljiibabaddnebdodfbfd) are not the only places users can get it from.

TVStreamNow Toolbar is installed on Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome as a browser extension, so its removal will be quick and easy if you decide to eliminate it from your computer. How to remove TVStreamNow Toolbar

Mozilla Firefox

1. Open Mozilla Firefox and press Ctrl+Shift+A.
2. Delete TV Stream Now.

Google Chrome

1. Start Google Chrome.
2. Tap Alt+F and click More tools.
3. Select Extensions.
4. Locate the TV Stream Now extension (it has the podgeadojmfnljiibabaddnebdodfbfd ID).
5. Click Remove.
