AutoClean Pro 2018 is yet another useless PC cleaner and optimizer, which may appear on your system even if you have not installed it knowingly. This questionable software is very similar to Pc Cleanup 2018 and Smart System Care. The main issues with such a potentially unwanted program (PUP) is that there is no researcher or proof that would state clearly that such an alleged PC optimizer actually makes anything run faster on your computer. As a matter of fact, not even Microsoft approves of such applications as far as we know. Yet, this PUP claims that it will "speed up your PC." Of course, the free version will do nothing really apart from probably running a system scan and scaring you with hundreds of issues found. You could only fix these if you purchased the full version, though. However, instead of doing that we suggest that you remove AutoClean Pro 2018 from your computer as a PUP.

The first suspicious sign that you are dealing with a shady product is that there are around half a dozen identical official websites promoting this software, including 1cleanup.com, winspeeduputils.com, and securepcupdates.com. The websites all look the same and very similar to all other PC optimizer websites. In all fairness, this website appear to be all professional. However, when you install the official version, it also pushes you to install another PUP called Driver Updater. This is quite annoying and you may just drop another useless and questionable program onto your system if you do not pay close attention while clicking Next or Install on the installation screens.

Unfortunately for you, this is not the only way to install this PUP. It is more likely that you have never even visited any of these sites before; yet, you find it on your system and wonder how this is possible. Well, let us break the spell over this mystery. The truth is, you may have installed a free program lately, which you downloaded from a shady torrent or freeware website. If this rings the bell, it is quite possible that you installed a software bundle, which means that this package may have contained a number of all kinds of threats on top of the free software you actually wanted to have. These threats may include adware programs, browser hijackers, ransomware programs, Trojans, or simply other PUPs. We advise you to only use official sites for downloading software and updates; however, always make sure that you do a proper web search before doing so, not to end up installing a useless PUP, for example. We do not believe that it is a good idea to do so because for just a little more you could actually buy a proper anti-malware program, which would protect your PC against all possible threat sources. That is why we suggest that you remove AutoClean Pro 2018 as soon as possible.

To make things even worse, this PUP cannot be uninstalled simply by running its uninstaller via Control Panel; it leaves leftovers on your system. How to remove AutoClean Pro 2018 from Windows

Windows Vista/Windows 7/Windows 8/Windows 8.1/Windows 10

1. Tap Win+R and type control panel in the box. Press OK.
2. Select Uninstall a program.
3. Click on the uninstaller and press Uninstall.

Windows XP

1. Access the Start menu and open Control Panel.
2. Select Add or Remove Programs.
3. Click on the uninstaller and press Remove.

How to remove leftovers

1. Tap Win+R and type regedit. Press the Enter key.
2. Locate and delete these registry entries:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\QXV0b0NsZWFuUHJvLTIwMTg=
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\scd-pr
3. Close the editor.
4. Tap Win+E.
5. Delete "%PROGRAMFILES%\AutoCleanPro-2018" folder. (But it can be a variation, slightly different.)
6. Empty your Recycle Bin.
7. Restart your computer.
