Searchprivacy.live is a questionable website that promotes a browser extension (Search Privacy), which has been classified as a potentially unwanted program (PUP). This tool has actually been around for about one and a half years but now it seems to have new promotional pages, which are essentially identical. This PUP claims to provide you with privacy and security while you are running web searches. However, our research and tests show that it may collect information about you and present to you manipulated search results containing potentially unreliable third-party ads. The only real difference we have found was that the old web store page had some reviews at least. However, reading those reviews should already make you doubt the reliability of this alleged secure search. Some reviews claim that there are malware infections that install this tool and its search results are a joke, taking you to all kinds of other pages instead of the one shown in the results. Some reviewers do not understand the suspiciously good reviews, which really look more like paid or fake ones.
