Antivirus Security is a rogue application, a fake spyware remover to be exact. Antivirus Security, also known as AntivirusSecurity, uses well-known tactics and misleading methods to coerce the user into thinking their computer has been compromised.

Usually, Antivirus Security uses false scan results, fake security warnings and very annoying pop-up messages, stating that the computer is infected with spyware, adware and Trojans. Most of the time, Antivirus Security is advertised via the use of fake video codecs and Trojan infections, such as the notorious Zlob or Vundo Trojan. This rogue application is also promoted on various malicious websites that provide free online scanners.

The main goal of these type rogue applications remains unchanged – all the tactics employed are to achieve one main goal: to trick the user and extort money from naive and inexperienced computer users. Antivirus Security is no exception. It will state that your computer has numerous infections, but will not remove them until you first purchase the program. The rogue will constantly display security alerts and notifications about privacy violation. Of course, all these infections and security notifications are fake, so you should ignore them.

The only truly dangerous application is Antivirus Security itself. Obviously, you must remove this parasite from your computer upon detection, otherwise it will cause even more damage to your computer. It may even download and install additional malware onto your computer.
