Hiloti

Hiloti is a harmful and rather seditious Trojan with the potential to infect its victims’ PCs with even more harmful and malicious threats. It will spy on the user’s activities and report its findings back to a remote server. This Trojan is virtually undetectable by the user due to its sophisticated design and its ability to immobilize certain security tools, and this fact makes it that much harder to detect and remove Hiloti from the system.

Hiloti is usually dropped into the system as part of another threat known as Win32/FakePowav. It is distributed online via browser hijacking domains which uses drive-by download tactics, as well as being distributed via bundled security updates and downloads obtained through third party downloads.

These servers will receive the stolen information of the user, and hosts other malware and harmful files that Hiloti will download to the compromised PC. Having this Trojan present on the PC will expose the user to identity and credit card fraud, as the Trojan will relay sensitive personal information such as financial info and usernames and passwords to its developers.
