EasyWeatherAlert Toolbar

If you ever install EasyWeatherAlert Toolbar on your computer, you will immediately notice the settings of your Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox changed. These changes will be applied to your homepage and the New Tab page. Instead of your preferred URLs, you will see hp.myway.com set. What you will also notice is a bar at the top with links leading to external websites with weather forecasts. EasyWeatherAlert Toolbar acts the same no matter you have installed it, whether from the Chrome Web Store (chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/easyweatheralert/naopgcbjimmmnkbdipnafajjjkanhfaj?utm_source=chrome-app-launcher-info-dialog), its official website (easyweatheralert.com), or if it has managed to enter the computer without your direct permission. Some users think that it is quite useful to have this browser plugin installed because it enables users to access weather forecasts with a click of a button; however, the majority of people find it really annoying that their browsers’ settings have been changed, and they do not even find EasyWeatherAlert Toolbar very useful. If you belong to this second group of users, you should remove this browser plugin without further consideration. To be frank, we suggest users getting rid of EasyWeatherAlert Toolbar also because this Mindspark Interactive Network, Inc. product is known to be a potentially unwanted program and act in an undesirable way. Read this article to find out more about it. The information you find there should help you to make up your mind whether to remove it or not.

The search engine EasyWeatherAlert Toolbar sets as the homepage and the New Tab URL do not seem to be bad at all. What also makes the search engine look trustworthy is that it is enhanced by Google. In other words, you will see Google search results if you enter a search query into the search box of MyWay. Even though hp.myway.com is powered by Google, we still cannot say that this search tool is very trustworthy because, as researchers working at pcthreat.com have managed to find out, it might gather information about users. It is clearly stated in the Privacy Policy that your search queries might be recorded. It is known that search queries might contain personal information if you ever enter something personal into the search box of your search tool, which means that personal information about you might be available for the developer of EasyWeatherAlert Toolbar as well. It is not known what it will do with it, so, in our opinion, it is quite risky to reveal this data. You cannot change the way hp.myway.com acts, but you can definitely stop using this search tool. To make it gone, you will have to fully remove EasyWeatherAlert Toolbar from your computer.

Even though it is possible to get EasyWeatherAlert Toolbar from two different official sources, some users still cannot understand why they have this piece of software installed when they are sure that they have not installed it willingly. We know that those users are not liars because we have revealed that EasyWeatherAlert Toolbar might be spread in software bundles. In other words, it comes bundled with other applications, and users install it on their PCs without even knowing that. It is not surprising at all that it might be spread this way because bundling is the popular distribution method these days. Unfortunately, this also means that other unwanted programs might sneak onto your computer as well. Therefore, we highly recommend installing a reputable security tool on your computer. Malware could not step into your system ever again if you keep this tool enabled.

Even though EasyWeatherAlert Toolbar is not extremely bad software, it might still cause you problems. Also, you will not be allowed to change the browsers’ settings if you do not get rid of it fully. Users whose default browser is Internet Explorer should be able to remove this browser plugin via Control Panel; however, those who use Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome will have to remove the extension of EasyWeatherAlert Toolbar themselves. We know an easier way to get rid of this software, so if you have decided to remove it, you should use our manual removal guide. Alternatively, you can scan your computer with an automatic malware remover, such as SpyHunter. Feel free to get the diagnostic version of this scanner from our website.
