Antispyware Pro XPAntispyware Pro XP is a replica of WinSpywareProtect, Windows Antivirus 2008, XP Protector 2009, a renegade anti-spyware program. It is quite possible that many a PC user has already downloaded Antispyware Pro XP, under the assumption that it would solve spyware problems; alternatively it may have infected a computer with the help of Trojan Zlob or Vundo, examples of other malware applications. Once infected with Zlob, it will make use of aggressive advertising methods to plug its renegade website and attempt to sell its product, by claiming to be able to clean one’s computer from all spyware. Zlob's misleading methods include: phony warning alert pop ups and system notification messages in the Taskbar. Antispyware Pro XP emulates a system scan, which then proceeds to report a list of supposed infections – all to ensure the user is intimidated so much that they end up purchasing the full Antispyware Pro XP version. |
