Lcoupon looks like a useful application at first sight. The program is promoted on lcoupon.ru, but it is impossible to download it from there at the time of writing. Therefore, there is no doubt that Lcoupon is spread somehow differently because it is really prevalent. Researchers working at pcthreat.com have managed to find out that this program mainly infects users who live in Russia, Ukraine, and France, whereas the origin of Lcoupon itself is Russia –its official web page has the .ru domain extension. Even though it is especially prevalent in the aforementioned countries, it does not mean that it cannot enter computers owned by people living somewhere else. Have you already encountered Lcoupon? “elmbcmlmdjfemolgapoecfhcmcjgdmbh” is the extension ID which you will notice if you enable the Developer mode in the Add-ons Manager on Google Chrome. We are sure that Lcoupon does not limit itself to these changes. It has been also noticed that Lcoupon adds its executable file to the %programfiles% directory. Last but not least, it seems that it also adds the lcoupon value to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run in order to be able to start together with Windows and thus work from the moment a user turns on his/her computer.

Lcoupon is not a unique program because it has replaced Everysale, Likecoupon, and Couponriser. If you have already encountered any of these programs, you will probably suspect that Lcoupon will show ads only even though it says that it will provide you with discounts that will help to save money at online stores. Advertisements displayed by this advertising-supported application are really annoying – they will keep appearing on your screen without prior notice, which means that the content you read will be covered. Delete Lcoupon

1. Tap the Windows key + R to launch RUN.
2. Copy and paste the following paths one by one into the box and click OK: %localappdata%\lcoupon, %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\lcoupon, %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\lcoupon, %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Local Extension Settings\elmbcmlmdjfemolgapoecfhcmcjgdmbh, and %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Local Extension Settings\elmbcmlmdjfemolgapoecfhcmcjgdmbh .
3. Delete all the files you find in these directories.
4. Repeat the 1st step again and enter regedit.
5. Move to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and delete the lcoupon value.
6. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow64Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\lcoupon (32-bit Windows) or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\lcoupon (64-bit Windows) , right-click on the registry key, and delete it.
