In the case of Internet Explorer, it changes a Windows Registry entry to make sure that the home page is set to Egystart.com. But, in Mozilla Firefox, it changes a configuration setting to set the new tab to this hijacker. It is also possible that Firefox remains intact. This browser hijacker uses a redirection, so when you launch your IE browser or open a new tab in Firefox, you will not actually see the Egystart.com website, but, instead, you will find fannfox.com.
