WorldSport New Tab is a browser extension developed exclusively for Google Chrome. But at the same time, it is potentially unwanted program that you might want to remove, because, firstly, it is not all that useful, and secondly, it changes your browsers homepage and new tab page to an unreliable search engine. The trivial promotional slogans try to convince people that this application will provide favorite sports sites in one click, provide them with the latest news, and easily search the web.

WorldSport New Tab has been created by a software developer known as APN, LLC. The company is located in New York, New York City, USA. From what we gather this company is a creator of potentially unwanted programs that help its clients make money. This company is on par with names such as Mindspark Interactive Network. There is no obvious link between these two companies, but their business model is quite similar, because they both use a custom search engine to promote third parties and make money that way.

WorldSport New Tab is known to be promoted on its dedicated website at Lp.inmind-wsports.com. To our knowledge that is its only means of distribution, but we have a hunch that it will be included on software bundles in the future, as its popularity is bound to decline once more people realize that this program is no good. For the time being, soccer-loving users are obliged to install this browser extension. But probably to the disappointment of many of them, this application does not offer anything worth using. We tested it and found that it only features to promoted websites. Sportstream.tv that shows dates and times of matches and games of soccer, basketball, hockey, and so on. All in all, it is not a bad website. The second promoted website is Nonissue.com. Not the most sports-oriented news website, but it is legitimate nonetheless.

As mentioned, WorldSport New Tab also features its own search engine that is set as Chrome’s homepage and new tab page. We have a problem with this search engine because it gives modified search results packed with promotional links and it can collect information about you in order to present custom search results. The company that owns this search engine (APN, LLC) is unreliable so we do not recommend using it especially if you have your personal search engine.

If you want to get your old search engine back, then you should remove WorldSport New Tab from your PC altogether. You may continue using this application if you insist, but it has certain flaws that make it untrustworthy. How to remove WorldSport New Tab from Google Chrome

1. Simultaneously tap Alt+F.
2. Select More Tools and click Extensions.
3. Find the extension and click Remove.
4. Done.
