MercuryGrips

MercuryGrips is a program that shows commercial advertisements with every opportunity it gets. It is not entirely clear as to who has created this advertisement-supported program, but it is obvious that it was created using the Justplugit engine. You might be unfamiliar with this engine, but our researchers have found that it is associated with GraphiteCommand, ExtraLargeApp, Dealsy, and many other suspicious programs. Unfortunately, all Justplugit-related ad-supported programs require removal, which means that you need to remove MercuryGrips as well. If you do not get rid of this adware, it is possible that you will put your virtual security at risk.

Not all users recognize MercuryGrips by its original name. It was found that Justplugit adware can use different name versions to make the detection process more complicated. Needless to say, this is meant to prolong the activity of the advertisement-supported program, and you need to ask yourself why. The reality is that the longer MercuryGrips stays active, the more ads can be shown to you, which means that there is a greater possibility of you interacting with these ads. If you do not delete MercuryGrips, but, instead, interact with the ads it shows, you could be scammer before you know it. Needless to say, this is one of the reasons why you should delete this suspicious adware.

The advertisements injected by MercuryGrips were not created by the developer of this ad-supported program. Instead, it relies on remote adware servers to introduce you to potentially attractive offers. Unfortunately, these adware servers are likely to host the advertisements created by malicious advertisers, which is why you should remove MercuryGrips without further delay. Have you found the ads shown to you very attractive? The HTTP cookies installed by this ad-supported program could be used to record your browsing history to produce more attractive offers. Unfortunately, this trick has been used many times to trick computer users into sharing personal information or downloading malware.

Have you downloaded MercuryGrips using the services of Installrex? This is not the only installer that could have been employed for the distribution of this suspicious program. Unfortunately, third-party installers usually carry other programs, and we cannot say that all of them will be reliable. In fact, it is very possible that the suspicious advertisement-supported program will come bundled with potentially unwanted programs, adware, and even browser hijackers. Our researchers indicate that most users find that they need to remove Websearch hijackers, such as Websearch.hotsearches.info or Websearch.searchtotal.info.

After you uninstall MercuryGrips from your operating system using the manual removal guide below, you have to delete it from Firefox and Chrome browsers as well. Afterward, you have to find and delete all remaining components that are associated with this adware. If you cannot find these leftovers manually, install a malware scanner. If you cannot handle the removal of MercuryGrips yourself, it is most likely that you will have problems identifying and deleting other threats as well. If you do not want to waste time trying to delete these threats manually, install an automated malware remover.
