MyTransitGuide Toolbar

MyTransitGuide Toolbar is a product created by Mindspark Interactive Network. This application has been developed to “Make trip planning easier,” and many Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Chrome users have already installed this toolbar on their operating systems. Is the application worth your time and can you trust it? It is not worth your time, and you cannot trust it. Instead, you must remove MyTransitGuide Toolbar. We have tested the application and have found several reasons why you should delete this toolbar from your PC.

Most computer users download MyTransitGuide Toolbar from mytransitguide.com. When you click the button initiating the installation of the toolbar, you will be presented with a few additional offers. You will be offered to change the home page and the default search provider to Ask.com. If you do not reject these offers, you will find home.tb.ask.com set as the home page, and your search provider will be switched to Ask Search. Those computer users, who do not notice the offered search provider changes, often think that MyTransitGuide Toolbar is a browser hijacker that must be removed.

Browser hijackers are malicious programs that require immediate removal; however, MyTransitGuide Toolbar is not a browser hijacker, because every user is provided with an option to reject Ask Search. Unfortunately, computer users often do not pay attention to the information provided by install wizards. If you don’t, you might install Ask Search by accident also when you install DailyLocalGuide Toolbar, Cats and Catapults Toolbar, EasyPDFCombine Toolbar, and other Mindspark applications. Note that if you learn how to delete MyTransitGuide Toolbar, you will be able to delete any Mindspark toolbar.

In some cases, MyTransitGuide Toolbar could be a signal that malicious programs have been installed on your PC. Even though we do not categorize MyTransitGuide Toolbar as a malicious threat; unfortunately, it could be offered by installers carrying adware, hijackers, and malicious programs. Therefore, even if you decide to remove MyTransitGuide Toolbar, we advise that you first scan your PC to see if other programs should not be deleted first.

MyTransitGuide Toolbar can be removed using a few simple steps. Select the removal guides accordingly to the operating system and the browsers you use, and follow these guides one step at a time. Note that if you need to delete MyTransitGuide Toolbar from Firefox and Chrome browsers, it will not be enough to uninstall the application via the Control Panel.
