Yappyz

Yappyz is a potentially unwanted program, made by SIEN S.A. According to its website, it’s “the premium entertainment platform that brings you Yappiness.” It also brings you annoyance. While running, Yappyz also creates a button on the bottom-right corner of your Desktop. If you decide to try a new game, Yappyz installs it on your computer, cluttering your screen further, by adding an icon on your Desktop. We don’t believe that the functions this program offers are worth the hassle. You should remove it.

While Yappyz is supposed to be a game manager, it installs a new Internet browser, called yappyz, on your computer. This browser is based on Chromium, and contains a lot of extensions that belong to Yappyz. We found that this potentially unwanted program slows down your Internet and takes a lot of RAM to keep running. You can fix this by closing it, but it will auto-start with Windows the next time you boot up. There’s been some evidence that it also shows you ads on its own program, probably due to containing some files from Iminent toolbar, that’s been linked with adware.

Ads work by collecting your browsing data to find out your hobbies and such. Then, it shows you targeted adverts. When you click one, Yappyz developers get paid. With Yappyz installing a whole new browser on your system, anything you do while browsing, including entering passwords, could possibly be known to third parties. To put it bluntly, Yappyz is much more trouble than it’s worth, so you should get rid of it at once.

This potentially unwanted application can be downloaded from its official website or found bundled with other free programs. Freeware bundles are known to sometimes contain malicious software. If you have Yappyz on your computer, and especially if you haven’t downloaded it from the official website, you should get a professional anti-malware tool to scan your system. It will find any threats and delete them. The real-time protection feature will also safeguard your machine from any threats in the future.

1. Click the Windows button, go to Control Panel.
2. Click Uninstall a program, find Yappyz, and click it.
3. Click Uninstall.

Windows 8

1. Right-click the bottom-left corner of your Desktop.
2. Go to Control Panel, click Uninstall a program, select Yappyz.
3. Click Uninstall.
