Pricemeter

Have you discovered Pricemeter running on your Windows operating system? This browser extension does have an official download page (pricemeter.net); however, the download link is inactive and so there is no surprise that the application often travels bundled with other software. If the plugin is not represented and you cannot refuse or accept its installation, chances are that the distribution of the plugin is illegal. Needless to say, you should not trust a program which uses questionable tricks to enter your personal computer. As a matter of fact, even if you are given an option to decline the program, it does not mean that you can trust it. Malware researchers recommend having Pricemeter removed, and you can continue reading to learn more.

It has been discovered that Pricemeter can travel bundled with various questionable applications, including Terraria from terraria.downloads205.com which also packages the questionable Conduit search tools. Once installed, the application runs similarly to Bonanza Deals, DealPly and Duuqu. In most cases the so-called deals and pop-up offers related to these programs and Pricemeter are displayed on online web stores, including Walmart or Amazon; however, different offers could be presented on any website. Clicking on online advertisements and deals is not recommended unless you are 100% sure you can trust the company serving them. Unreliable applications which come bundled with other software could be linked to unreliable parties and could be used to present links to unreliable websites. As a matter of fact, this is how schemers distribute malware, which is why we recommend staying extra cautious. Due to this, we advise that you delete Pricemeter, especially if the program was installed onto the PC without your knowledge.

Pricemeter can be installed onto the PC without much notice; however, it presents notable, sometimes even irritating pop-up advertisements and saving deals when you browse the web and shop online. Since online advertising is not always reliable, we recommend that you delete Pricemeter and utilize a more reliable, trustworthy application to serve you online coupons and beneficial offers. If you use the manual removal guides below, the undesirable application will be deleted from the system in no time. Nonetheless, other programs which may enter the system together with the plugin could be much more complicated. If you are struggling with the detection and removal of other suspicious applications – click the download button and install a legitimate security tool which will delete intrusive, undesirable software automatically.

I can't remove Pricemeter as it does not appear on the programs list in the Control Panel uninstall window.
I even tried to remove the files directly from the file local: appdata>local>Pricemeter, but I cannot do it as the error says I don't have permission to execute this action.
So, I don't know what else I can do.

I tried deleting it from the Control Panel's Add or Remove Programs list but every time I try deleting it, the computer restarts by itself and the file still remains. On the Add or Remove Programs list it appears as a 1.27 MB file called "Price Metar (remove only)"
Please help. Will be very appreciated.
