Trusted Saver

When you install a new browser extension you probably expect it to be safe and improve your web browsing experience. Unfortunately, Trusted Saver does only half of the job. It is not a computer infection, and you can choose whether you want to install it or not, but most of the time users are recommended to remove Trusted Saver from their PCs, because the extension comes with certain security risks you simply cannot ignore. If you are an avid online shopper, you should use some other extension for your coupons, if you do not want to experience a data leak.

Trusted Saver can be downloaded from the official website at trustedsaver.com. The extension is compatible with Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox web browsers. Once installed, it displays a variety of coupon and discount offers, all of which are supposed to help you save money when you purchase things online. Naturally, there is nothing dangerous about these coupons or Trusted Saver itself; however, the extension makes an extensive use of cookies that could cause you some trouble.

The problem is that Trusted Saver uses cookies to collect information about your web browsing habits. It is done in order to generate a list of coupons and discount offers that would be related to what you usually shop for online. Nevertheless, Trusted Saver could also use cookies placed by a third party (it is pointed out so in the extension’s Privacy Policy), and it could not be held responsible for whatever information those cookies would collect.

Now, cookies initially are not dangerous, they just collect data, but if they are hacked and reprogrammed to steal important information, you might experience a sensitive data leak, eventually resulting in money theft. It is only a question of time before Trusted Saver gets exploited by a malicious third party and you get infected with malware. Do not take chances. Follow the instructions below and remove Trusted Saver from your system right now.
