IsoBuster

IsoBuster is a legitimate program for recovering your data from CD/DVD, hard drives, USB flash drives, Jaz drives, etc. The application is owned by Smart Projects, and it can be acquired from the official website isobuster.com and other websites, including cnet.com, softonic.com, and apphit.com. However, the application promotes its toolbar which is published by Conduit search, which should be removed from the PC.

IsoBuster does not pose any danger to the system but the fact that it bundled with a potentially unwanted program (PUP) should encourage you to pay close attention to other applications. Always read the license agreement and additional windows of the installation wizard.

Install the Toolbar including Value Apps (recommended). Value Apps selects the best daily apps based on your browsing information.
Set default search to Conduit Search and save older settings for easy reverting.
Set homepage to Conduit Search and save older settings for easy reverting.

The application promoted by IsoBuster will replace your home page with search.condui.com, and instead of Google or any other search provider, you will have to use IsoBuster Customized Web Search. Moreover, below the toolbar you will find a bar showing that the search results are provided by Bing.

We recommend that you remove IsoBuster toolbar by Conduit as it may monitor how you browse the internet and send the collected information to third-parties.

The toolbar that is installed contains a search box and various options. For example, through the IsoBuster toolbar you can install Value Apps which is a price comparison application that displays coupons, advertisements, and various deals. Moreover, without leaving the website you are on, you can access Facebook, play online games, and check weather forecasts.

If you do not want to be monitored and provided with irrelevant search hits, remove the toolbar from the PC right now. How to remove an unwanted program

Windows Vista and Windows 7

1. Click Start - > Control Panel.
2. Click Uninstall a program.
3. Remove IsoBuster and IsoBuster toolbar.

Windows XP

1. Open the Start menu and click Control Panel.
2. Click Add or Remove Programs.
3. Select IsoBuster/IsoBuster toolbar and click the Remove button.

Windows 8

1. Press Win+R.
2. Type control panel.
3. Click OK.
4. Select Uninstall a program and remove the unwanted application.

How to change the settings of your browser

Internet Explorer

1. Press Alt+T.
2. Click Manage Add-ons.
3. Click Search Providers.
4. Set a new search engine and remove the unwanted one.
5. Press Alt+T.
6. Click Internet Options.
7. On the General tab, change the home page and click OK.

Mozilla Firefox

1. Press Ctrl+Shift+A.
2. Click Extensions and remove the unwanted add-on.
3. Open the drop-down window next to the search box on the browser and select a new search provider.
4. Press Alt+T and click Options.
5. On the General tab, change the home page.

Google Chrome

1. Press Alt+F.
2. Go to Tools - > Extensions.
3. Remove IsoBuster add-on.
4. Click Settings on the left side of the browser.
5. Under On Startup, select one of the options and click Set pages.
6. Change the startup page.
7. Under Search, click Manage search engines and change the search provider.

Note that it may be impossible to restore the default settings of Google Chrome, and if you find that the instructions are insufficient, implement our recommended spyware removal tool to have the toolbar deleted automatically.
