Softonic Toolbar

However, it seems that Softonic Toolbar is sometimes unwanted, especially then the user does not intent to install a browser add-on.  Note that the term Softonic Toolbar can refer to any toolbar which is attached to an application available on softonic.com. Remove Softonic Toolbar from the PC

Windows XP

1. Open the Start menu and select Control Panel.
2. Click on Add or Remove Program.
3. Click on the program you want to remove and select the Remove button.

Windows Vista/7

1. Open the Start menu.
2. Go to Control Panel and select Uninstall a program.
3. Double-click on the program you want to remove and follow the uninstall guide.

Windows 8

1. Move the mouse over the bottom left corner of the screen until a window of the minimized Metro UI or the desktop appears.
2. Right-click.
3. Select Control Panel.
4. Click on Uninstall a program.
5. Right-click the program you want to remove and select Uninstall.

How to delete Softonic Toolbar from browsers

Google Chrome

1. Open the browser.
2. Press and hold down the Alt key and then hit F.
3. Go to Tools -> Extensions.
4. Remove the unwanted add-on.
5. Click on Settings (on the left).
6. In the On startup section, select the last option and click on Set Pages.
7. Remove the unwanted startup page, add a new one and click OK.
8. In the Search section, click on Manage search engines.
9. Remove the unwanted search engine and add a new.
10. Click Done.

Internet Explorer

1. Open the browser.
2. Press and hold down the Alt key and press T.
3. Click on Manage Add-ons - > Toolbar and Extensions.
4. Disable the unwanted add-on.
5. In the same left side menu, click on Search Providers.
6. Remove the search engine that was changed by Softonic Toolbar and set a new one.
7. Press Alt+T.
8. Click on Internet Options and type the address of your new home page into the home page box.
9. Press Apply.

Mozilla Firefox

1. Open the browser.
2. Press and hold down Ctrl, then press and do not release Shift and then press A.
3. In the Add-ons Manager, click on Extensions and remove the unwanted add-on.
4. Press Alt+T.
5. Select Options.
6. Change the home page under the General tab.
7. Press OK.
8. Change the search engine after opening the drop-down menu next to the search box.
