  1. Simultaneously tap Alt+F, go to Tools and select Extensions.
  2. Find the unwanted toolbar (e.g. BearShare New Tabs, BandooIEPlugin) and click on the trash icon.
  3. Now go to the menu on the left and select Settings.
  4. Navigate to On Startup, mark “Open a specific page” and click Set pages.
  5. Select “x” for the unwanted option, add the URL of a new startup page and click OK.
  6. Now move to Appearance, select Show Home button and click Change.
  7. Click “x” on the home page you want to remove and enter an address of a preferred Home Page in the “Open this page” area. Select OK.
  8. Finally go to Search and click on Manage search engines.
  9. Navigate to the preferred search engine, select Make default and click “x” on the unwanted search engine. Click OK.

Delete unwanted programs from the computer

Windows XP:

  1. Click on Start and go to Control Panel.
  2. Select Add or Remove Programs, locate the unwanted program and click Remove.

Windows Vista/7:

  1. Go to Start and select Control Panel.
  2. Click on Uninstall a program (under Programs).
  3. Right-click on the unwanted application and select Uninstall.

Windows 8:

  1. Right-click on the Metro UI start screen and select All apps.
  2. Open the Control Panel menu and select Uninstall a program.
  3. Find the unwanted program, right-click on it and select Uninstall.
