My Freeze

My Freeze is a browser hijacker that has been developed to display adware is also known by such alias names as Adware.Softomate, SearchIt and Trojan-Spy.IEToolbar. The infection is spread into operating Windows systems via freeware, shareware, P2P channels and suspicious websites. It has been found out that schemers often use free online game websites or false promotional advertisements to slip the infection into your computer; however, it is also possible you have downloaded the program from the official website (my-freeze-com-toolbar-with-netassistant.software.informer.com). You should have no doubts about the legitimacy of the devious browser hijacker; however, if you still have questions – continue reading to find out why and how to delete My Freeze.

When My Freeze gets installed on your computer most of its malignant files are dropped to the Program Files folder within your Local Disk. Even though freeze_int.dll, which can be deleted and added using the ActiveX feature, freeze_ie_na_us.dll and tbhelper.dll are very important to the functionality of the hijacker, there are a few files that are much more dangerous. One of these components is freeze_us.dll which can delete and hijack processes, employ browser helper objects to spy on you and modify Internet Explorer settings. Installed toolbars, created extensions and changed home page are extremely irritating symptoms, but they can also help you recognize the infection running in your PC and help you delete My Freeze timely.

SearchProtection.exe is the second dangerous hijacker’s component. This file can impair the virtual memory, create unauthorized connections to the Internet, reconfigure Windows Security Center and disable safe mode to aggravate My Freeze removal. Additionally, this file can also restrict your access to the Registry Editor and Task Manager and modify Host File to execute unauthorized redirections. In this case, it would be best to terminate any online activities, because with BHO in action, schemers could discover your interests and use them in fake, misleading online advertisement (adware) attacks.

If you do not want schemers finding out your full name, online login data, banking account numbers, social security data, address or other sensitive information and you do not want your PC infected further, you need to remove My Freeze and do it as soon as possible. The infectious program may not be considered malicious by many of the legitimate security programs; therefore, we recommend installing SpyHunter, which will find and delete My Freeze quickly. Most importantly, remember that you should protect your operating system and your personal data with truly legitimate security software, which is why you need to act now!
