Mal/Generic-LIf you recognize the name Mal/Generic-L, this mischievous Trojan must have already attacked your Windows system. The malicious application can attack your PC through various system cracks, and is most likely to come as encrypted software via bundled downloads. Mal/Generic-L will provide security backdoors to cyber criminals, and will enable them to download malicious data into your system, thereby compromising your personal safety and causing quite possibly irreversible damage. The only way to avoid such results is to remove Mal/Generic-L from your operating system. Mal/Generic-L is a not a low-risk infection, which could be detected and removed easily, as it uses various stealthy methods to hide its presence. The Trojan can inject malicious codes to Windows’ applications and hide its malicious processes in your operating system’s memory. Mal/Generic-L disguises its components under legitimate Windows system component’s names; therefore, if you come across a file named svchost.exe, you can dismiss this malicious file for an original executable. To figure out whether the component is true or belongs to Mal/Generic-L’s infection, check out its location, and if it is not under C:\Windows\System32, you should have no doubts that it needs to be removed. Mal/Generic-L will block your access to the websites distributing AV tools, which could remove the Trojan and other malware. It will also terminate all .exe, .com, .pif, or .scr processes, will disable your Firewall, modify your Internet security settings and will enable connection to remote servers, which will expose your system to hacking and monitoring. By doing so, Mal/Generic-L will record your browsing activity and will collect highly sensitive data (bank account numbers, addresses, etc.). And if that is not enough, Mal/Generic-L contains a virus component, which some of the security tools identify as W32/PatchLoad, and which may cause system crashing if not removed. This component also helps cyber criminals to spread Mal/Generic-L without much trouble, as it enables infection’s traveling through CDs, floppy discs or USB devices. This virus can even send infected spam emails from your account, linking your name to the fraudulent Trojan! Mal/Generic-L is also associated with a rogue security tool Cloud AV 2012, which can flood you with hundreds of fake notifications about your system’s security, which are meant to fool you into disclosing your personal information. Mal/Generic-L is a highly dangerous infection, which can cause financial loss, identity theft and Window system crashes. So, if you recognize any of the symptoms mentioned above, the sinister Trojan is definitely active in your system and you need to remove its infectious components immediately, to avoid the horrible consequences. To do so, it is best to trust a powerful security tool, which will remove Mal/Generic-L from your system, and will guard you against malware in the future. Warning! If you are not experienced with Windows and have never deleted malware before, do not proceed with manual removal! |
