Adware.eoRezo

Adware.eoRezo is a part of EoRezo, also known as eoRezo, a browser based add-on which is distributed with Usenet news server search utility, Grablt.

It is known that Adware.eoRezo is a malicious malware application, capable of deleting relevant files from computer and, thus, disabling the network and the system of your computer. In most cases, Adwware.eoRezo does not spread on its own – it is a part of other computer viruses which get into the system through security holes.

The research has also shown that this adware can act as a backdoor Trojan and the hackers can access your personal data whenever they want. Thus, they can take control over your financial information, passwords and other sensitive data.

In the same manner as most of adware apps, Adware.eoRezo will start bombarding the computer screen with advertising pop-ups, and create other ways to annoy you.
It was also noticed that once Adware.eoRezo is on your computer, it starts performing different system changes, including:

• Your web browser is hijacked and the home page is changed,
• The search results are modified according to the settings made by hackers,
• In case you want to visit certain website, you are redirected to the malicious websites instead,
• The antivirus program is not working in a normal way. It does not update as it is supposed to.

In addition to the changes on the system made, as well as advertising pop-ups, you will also notice error messages on the screen. These messages are related to the non-system files - eorezo.exe, ItsTV.exe, SoftwareUpdateHP.exe, and EoEngine.exe – associate with Adware.eoRezo. For example:

cannot start [APPLICATION]. A required component is missing: eoengine.exe. Please install the application again.
