Adware.ClickPotato

The now infamous Adware.ClickPotato is like a bad dream that comes back to stalk you, just as its predecessors Zango and Pinball in the past. Following the same modus operandi as its predecessors, the Adware.ClickPotato infection is picked up from illicit websites offering access to pirated movie downloads.

It will entice users to download its “video codec” in order to watch the promised movies. This supposed video codec is actually Adware.ClickPotato, and will not enable you to watch any of the movies it promises access to. Instead, you will gain the Adware.ClickPotato infection and your computer’s safety, health and privacy will be compromised.

Do not fall for Adware.ClickPotato’s lame attempt to trick you into downloading its corrupt software. If you come along the following message, then you know you are dealing with Adware.ClickPotato:

“You must install the movie codec to play movie”
