Packed.Negmuru

Packed.Negmuru is the latest Trojan infection to be the cause of headaches for many a PC user.

Packed.Negmuru is found to display the following properties:

- Creates desktop.ini system file in the fake Recycle Bin folder in order to register it in Windows as a valid Recycle Bin.
- Creates an executable file in the fake Recycle Bin folder with the purpose of concealing its presence in the system.
- Creates fake Recycle Bin folder.
- Communicates with a remote IRC server.
- Creates a startup registry entry.
- Contains characteristics of an identified security risk.

Packed.Negmuru may self-protect, could monitor the infected system’s memory, might randomly name its affiliated malicious files, and also tends to integrate with Windows Operating systems’ critical processes.

The first sign that a system is infected with Packed.Negmuru would be the fact that is capable of terminating Antivirus applications, firewalls, and other security related applications. Packed.Negmuru will also show characteristics of an identified security risk.

The threat of this particular parasite, Packed.Negmuru, is not to be taken lightly, as Packed.Negmuru is highly capable of severely compromising a computer system and may even result in system failure if not entirely removed from the infected system.
