Micro AV

Micro AV is another renegade anti-spyware program and is a duplicate of MS Antivirus 2008, InternetAntivirus. Micro AV infects a system via Trojan applications, spam emails or it may have come bundled with other dubious programs. Micro AV portrays itself as an effective spyware remover tool, when in actuality all it does is lead the user into believing their system is infected with a number of spyware threats, in order to get the user to purchase the full "licensed" program. Once Micro AV has infected a system, the user will receive a large amount of pop ups and system notifications, alluding to the detection of imaginary spyware threats found in the system. It is further claimed by Micro AV that in order to remove these phony threats, the user is then redirected to Micro AV's website or another rogue website to ensure the ultimate purchase of the rogue Micro AV's full version. Micro AV's trial version is capable of running fake computer system scans and displaying a list of security risks. It is highly recommended that Micro AV NOT be trusted.
